Vasco Rossi’s Modena Park 2017 Concert

The Basic Rossi’s concert was held in Modena, Italy. The concert was performed by Italian Rock singer Vasco Rossi on 1st July 2017 inside the Enzo Ferrari Park. The purpose of the event was to celebrate Rossi’s 40 years of doing music and also as a DJ.

The event sold 225,173 tickets, a new world record for a paid event. Out of the 225,173 tickets, 5,000 were given for free. The concert took 3 hours, 38 minutes and 38 seconds. Tickets were first sold to fan club members who cleared 33,112 tickets in 48 hours. After 2 days, 150,000 tickets were sold to the general public within 10 hours. The remaining 25,000 tickets were sold in 3 hours on May 23rd.

40 Songs Performed

In the concert, 40 songs sung by Vasco were performed. The show started at 9 pm and lasted for about one and a half hours. The concert’s introduction was done by Richard Strauss with ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra,’ a tone poem done by him. A performance by Rossi followed singing his music. The day’s action was closed by an American band performing Die for Metal.

The concert was aired in about 197 movie theatres and also in three sports venues, namely Genoa, Padua, and Rome. About 5,633,000 TV viewers followed the action. The audio system used in the concert played sound through a 750,000 watts system. 900 speakers were used and a huge amount of energy estimated by the production team at about one megawatt was spent.

Gates were opened 24 hours before the performance because the fans had arrived that early. One fan had arrived in Modena a month earlier so as to be the first to enter the park.
